Ricardo Azueta and Valparaiso is a project of eight members originally from Cancún, Mexico; this Funk Fusion group was founded in 2022 and is composed of Ricardo Azueta on vocals, Ricardo Hernandez on trombone, Jose Luis Hernández on trumpet, Omar Gutiérrez on saxophone, Santiago Padilla on drums, Rodrigo Canche on guitar, Emiliano Galaz on bass, and Bobby Synth on keyboards. The powerful sound of Valparaiso is a fusion of genres such as jazz, funk, pop, rock, reggae, and other styles. The band is characterized by its freshness, passion, and talent.
Each member of Valparaiso brings their own style and skills to the creative process of the musical arrangements, allowing for a variety of unique sounds, rhythms, and melodies. The team creates an ATTRACTIVE image for the audience on social media and digital platforms, which has allowed the band to rapidly gain popularity since their debut in November 2022 as ‘RICARDO AZUETA & VALPARAISO’ and they hope to continue expanding nationally and internationally.

"FUNK IN YOUR SCHOOL" is an initiative designed by Valparaiso to empower students through music, creating a vibrant and creative space where they can explore and discover the profound transformative impact that music can have on their lives, rather than just presenting the regular show. We aim to inspire the new generations to build stronger communities based on active participation, empathy, and the development of socio-emotional skills. Through interactive and collaborative workshops, we promote inclusion, creativity, and self-discovery, motivating each young person to explore their talents and aspire to new goals, all while enjoying a musical education that embraces the diversity of genres and styles with our music.
